We played Colleyville Heritage Varsity Panthers, Northwest Varsity Texans, Eaton Varsity Eagles, Bushland Varsity Falcons, and Byron Nelson Varsity Bobcats at Turf Wars.

The Cowgirls took a little while to come together, but when they did, they showed everyone why they’re a force to be reckoned with.

Defensively, the Cowgirls made some amazing plays thanks to spectacular pitching by Scarlett Stephens, Lilija Bowen, and Lena Gay. Emma Praytor was behind the plate in all five games. She got outs on two throw downs to 2nd and one to 3rd. Most impressive catch has to go to Caroline Campbell, who made not one but two diving catches in left field. Batting-wise, the Cowgirls rocked it! Some memorable hits include Courtney Hargrove’s out-of-the-park home run and Caroline Campbell’s in-the-park home run.

This marks the end of the 3-week grind that is Varsity’s tournament window. Districts start this week on March 3rd at Hebron High.
